About Me

About Me

Hi, I’m Beth!

After suffering from low-grade burnout most of my corporate career, I wanted a better way to exist. I started learning about positive psychology – the scientific study of what makes humans thrive – and applying some of the principles to my personal life. This positive lens made me a better wife, mom and leader at work. And when I applied these principles to my leadership team, we consistently increased our employee engagement scores! As a result, the company approached me to apply my techniques enterprise-wide.

I’ve seen firsthand the effect these practices have on transforming leadership mindset and organizational cultures – and as a result, the bottom line.

Due to my passion for bringing out the best in people, I started The Brimful Life which applies my deep knowledge of positive psychology and diversity and inclusion with my professional experience as a management consultant and senior leader to help other leaders realize the benefits of building a positive and inclusive culture.

The Brimful Life is based on principles of what makes humans thrive at work to achieve better results no matter the country or company. This is supported not just by my broad experience having worked for startups to Fortune 100 companies and non-profit organizations, but also by my global perspective, having lived and worked in London, Tokyo, Johannesburg, Bangkok, Boston and New York City.

My Approach
My personal philosophy and approach to transform company cultures starts at the top with the organization’s leaders. But here’s my secret: equipping leaders to transform their cultures doesn’t always require a complete overhaul or big and expensive strategies. Often small acts make a big impact. That’s why I’m so passionate about helping leaders positively impact micro moments, whether that be team meetings or 1:1s, to achieve positive and productive work environments.

In my personal life, I practice what I preach, living a brimful life by spending time with my husband and three kids and with running, speed skating and watching cooking competition shows on TV which is ironic because I really hate to cook. Just like the clients I serve, I’m continuously trying to learn new things, fail forward and practice gratitude.
